About The Role

The team are looking to hire a Head of Finance who will have the primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the organization. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private institutional financing.

What do you need to do to be considered successful?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
  • Ensure credibility of the Finance and Accounts Group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory actions
  • Review financial transactions for integrity and accuracy
  • Direct and participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Executive Management
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable local laws and rules for financial reporting
  • Provide leadership and P&L Management for the Financial Services vertical
  • Provide professional leadership along with staff development and mentoring

What do you need to have done in your career?

  • Minimum of 10years experience with at least 5 as Head of finance or similar positions
  • BSc or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • ACA or ACCA professional certifications is a must
  • Extensive experience in managing complex projects
  • Experience working in a matrix, extremely dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented multi-country environment; prioritization, and ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience in Financial Reporting, Corporate Planning/ Business Performance and Strong/Working knowledge of Accounting Standards/IFRS Experience with Accounting Systems/ERP (particularly Sage or SAP)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting planning
  • Good people management skills
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Excellent data analytics skills, Tableau, Power BI and MS Office Suite
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Capability to oversee multiple projects across geographies
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting and strategic planning
  • Commercial focus with demonstrated ability to identify and deliver commercial outcomes
  • Thoughtful and demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail
  • Strong people management skills
  • Proven experience building strong business partnerships and executive presence; able to establish credibility and support with other stakeholders
  • Outstanding time management skills
