About The Role

Eight Medical is looking for a Commercial Manager who is responsible for overseeing business growth efforts on behalf of the company. Their duties include conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads, coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments, and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers,users and other business partners.

What do you need to be considered successful

The ideal candidate for the role will be someone who is skilled in management and who is knowledgeable in the use of MS Office Suites and Data Analytics.

  • Scale and lead the entire sales development organization. Design, develop, generate new business opportunities and develop the next generation of sales talent for Reliance Health organization.
  • Build and optimize the national sales development team and processes, to consistently hit pipeline generation and online premium sales targets
  • Build & manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships.
  • Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
  • Lead and scale a team of SDRs
  • Design career paths and coach/develop SDRs for career growth within the Enterprise Sales organization.
  • Monitor local and federal regulations.
  • Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent.
  • Recruit and oversee contractors, vendors and partners.
  • Work with marketing, and national sales leads to develop methods for inbound and outbound lead qualification, including sales scripts and touchpoint strategies that support Eight medical growth strategies with tracking and continuous improvement.
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, lead and execute global campaigns & programs to increase our Lead/SQL conversion rate.
  • Developing the commercial strategy and the commercial direction of projects
  • Negotiating with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers
  • Conducting market research
  • Define, track, and manage KPIs for the sales and senior management to forecast and achieve monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Overseeing the performance of the growth and sales team
  • Providing direction to the business development team
  • Monitoring budgeting expenses
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk
  • Actively participate in the lead to SQL process design and
  • Motivate and inspire the team to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship

This role will work directly with the Business operations, Sales & Marketing team and report to the Chief Executive Officer. You are an industry professional with excellent conversation, business development and negotiation skills with an entrepreneurial attitude, who can solve and drive business issues within their commercial & business development team

The biggest problem solving duties on the job

In this role, you will be a representative and good ambassador for the team across the company as well as to external stakeholders.

What do you need to have done in your career

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a commercial or business development manager in health or health-related field
  • B2B sales experience in the health insurance industry will be of great advantage
  • 4-6 years experience in a management position
  • It will be a plus if worked in a startup environment
  • Over-achiever in previous experience
  • Experience in managing an SDR team of at least 30 people, with a strong focus on people, care and top performance
